What is the shipping time?
For bundles and Ready to Ship Crowns, please allow up to 2-3 business days for processing and the standard 3-5 business days for shipping. Orders are placed with my vendor on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (If you order on Monday, processing starts Tuesday. If you order on Friday, processing will begin the following Monday). THIS METHOD ALLOWS YOU TO PAY LOWER SHIPPING COSTS BY GROUPING YOUR ORDER WITH OTHER ORDERS =)
You should have your package 7-10 days from the day your order is placed (not including weekends or holidays). Shipping times may vary during sales or peak times. For custom made Crowns, please allow 2 weeks for processing, construction, and shipping; 3 weeks during sales. The $100 rush fee skips your unit to the front of the production line, completion in 1 week.
Does BowDownn Crowns accept refunds?
Due to all wigs being handmade and custom to your exact measurements, no returns or exchanges are honored. We would appreciate if you can make all of your questions and concerns clear before placing your order.
I personally inspect the quality of each bundle and accessory before shipment. for sanitary reasons, no refunds will be honored. Please check our reviews on Instagram.
How long do extensions last?
With proper maintenance, your virgin bundles/Crowns can last 1+ years. Raw hair lasts 2+ years with proper maintenance. Lace closures and frontals are very delicate and usually last 3-5 months before needing replacement.
How many bundles do I need?
2 bundles is standard for shorter lengths (10-16 inches). 3 bundles for medium lengths (18-22 inches). 4 bundles are recommended for longer lengths (22-30 inches). Add an additional bundle for a full look.
How do I care for my Crown/extensions?
Co-wash before installation. Shampoo with sulfate free shampoo biweekly. Use clarifying shampoo for product buildup. Deep conditioner is your best friend. Allow your Crowns/Royal bundles to air dry to retain moisture and prevent breakage. Use heat protectant for heat styling.
When brushing hair, gently work your way from ends to roots to detangle.
Moisturize curly/kinky textures with leave-in conditioners and curl activators to minimize dryness, frizziness, or tangling. To prevent breakage, only comb curly hair while wet and saturated with conditioner.
Maintain your style by wrapping straight hair at night; twisting/loosely braiding curly hair; and covering with a silk scarf or bonnet.
Can my hair be colored?
Please seek the help of a professional in order to maintain the quality of your Crown. If lightening at home, use a quality bleach product. BW-2 is not recommended, as it leaves hair dry and brittle.
I saw a hair texture on the @bowdownncrowns Instagram page that is not listed on your website. Can I order that?
Yes. Please email us at info@bowdownncrowns.com with your order and we will send you an invoice. Invoices are to be paid within 3 hours. Alternate textures include: Kinky Straight, Deep Curl, Kinky Curly, and Very Wavy.
